I'm Ben Ford. I've worked on the web for twenty-eight years: I started as a designer and I'm now studio manager at Meta Digital in Christchurch. In my spare time I build small, fun and sometimes useful things like maps, feeds and tools.
Highlights
Every big marathon course measured the same way: maps, elevation and race-day weather for 26 races.
Seventeen great voyages traced across a 3D globe styled as an antique printed plate.
A hand-picked map of 360+ places to eat and drink in Ōtautahi Christchurch.
A fast daily front page for gaming news, releases and reviews.
A tiny world builder: raise an island out of the sea, carve valleys, plant forests and watch the day go by.
More projects
A drum machine, sampler and step sequencer that runs in the browser.
A map and itinerary for Lord of the Rings filming locations around New Zealand.
A small, calm, local-first checklist app.
